Robert Rauschenberg rip

Pop artist Robert Rauschenberg was one of the major visual artists of the last century. He created some cutting edge work, combining different materials. Also notorious are his collaborations with John Cage and Merce Cunningham. But maybe his best work is where he erased a Willem de Kooning drawing. Willem de Kooning was a symbol of abstract expressionism. Pop art was a reaction against it. Check an interview on that performance right here. Yesterday Robert Rauschenberg died.
