R.I.P. JG Ballard

Famous wrter JG Ballard has pasted away yesterday on tha age of 78 (15 November 1930 – 19 April 2009).

His most famous work was Empire of the Sun (1984), in part because Spielberg directed an adaptation. But the bulk of his work dealt with negative visions on the future of man and society, as portrayed in The Drowned World (1962),  High Rise (1975) and in Kingdom Come (2006). Another famous adaptation was by the hand of David Cronenberg: Crash.
