David Claerbout – ‘The Shape of Time’ exhibition can be seen at De Pont from 14 March – 28 June 2009.

The video above has also been a part of the nice RUHE production by Muziektheater Transparant which toured the Netherlands last year. That is a recital of Schubert “lieder brutally interrupted by people who wish to talk about their voluntary enlistment in the SS in 1940.” At first look this picture appears to be just a photograph, but when you look closer, or longer, you’ll notice the tree leaves to be moving.
