The Incubate gospel according to Jasper van Vugt

September 1, 2009

‘The Incubate gospel according to’ section gives you tips from insiders. Check others out here.

Who are you?
‘That’s a question one too many philosophers have tried to answer. What I do during the day to keep me off the crack is a little easier to answer: I’m editor for OOR Magazine and prostitute myself for a variety of other magazines/webzines/companies like Festivalinfo, CJP Magazine, SeNa, Jazz magazine and anyone willing to keep me off the streets.’

What will you be doing during Incubate 2009 (Sept. 13-20)?
‘Apart from drinking beer and embarrassing myself with a certain mister Heesterbeek and PedoPhil I’ll try to find my way around Tilburg to see some bands. Of course during daytime I’ll be preparing to kick major butt at Heavy Metal Bowling on September 17th.’

Which three artists do you recommend to see at Incubate 2009?

Soap&Skin obviously, Future Of The Left and Pony Pack are three acts on the top of my list. I’ll probably miss all three of them though, being in a different venue watching a new favourite band unknown to me until that very minute. But that’s cool, that’s what Incubate is about.’

Which band would you like to see on Incubate 2010?
Dyse, Hello Saferide (might be a bit too cheesy for you guys), Japandroids, Knalpot [ehhhm, we have them THIS YEAR... ed.], Zomby (hahaha!), Yoshimi, YACHT, Girls, St. Vincent, Rusko, Jokes Of The Scene, Fresku, Hayzee, Wavves.
