The Roadburn guide to Incubate

September 11, 2009

(awesome image by Malleus, which you can see other works from at our Z-Stock poster art event!)

Jurgen and Walter of Roadburn posted the bands they think you MUST see on their blog.

Some of their tips are:

Anaal Nathrakh (Wednesday, September 16, V:39, 22:00-23:00)

Active since 1999, Britain’s Anaal Nathrakh is a rather thoughtful duo. They quote Nietzsche and play black metal while eschewing traditional black metal garb. And they release extreme albums, the latest of which — In the Constellation of the Black Widow — is arguably their strongest yet. Catch them while you can because they rarely perform live.

Manatees (Friday, September 18,  Little Devil, 21:15-22:00)

Mugstar (Saturday, September 19, 013 — Kleine Zaal, 15:15 – 16:00)

Liverpool, England’s Mugstar will blast off far beyond the earth’s stratosphere with a set of 100% undiluted space rock. Mugstar’s cosmic influences range from Godspeed You Black Emperor! to Hawkwind and from Circle to King Crimson.

The Notorious Hi-Fi Killers (Friday, September 18, Kafe Buitenbeentje, 23:30 – 00:00)
