Shrinebuilder

Supergroup Shrinebuilder featuring doom-heavyweights Wino (St. Vitus, Hidden Hand), Scott Kelly (Neurosis), Al Cisneros (Om, Sleep), and Dale Crover (Melvins) have been confirmed to play Roadburn 2010.

Scott Kelly comments: “ As individuals we are all veterans of the immense depth that the Roadburn Festival brings to the world of sound and the electric church. As Shrinebuilder we look forward to the opportunity to return once again to the stage at the 013. Only this time we step through a new door as reborn veterans of the psychic war and we bring all that we have taken and all that has been taken from us to lay it at the feet of the gods and ask for nothing in return but the opportunity to play these songs that were gifted to us for the people who will stand in the room with us on April 17 2010.”

Roadburn says: “We are truly looking forward to see Kelly, Wino, Cisneros and Crover melt their unique, different styles. When these four musicians get together, catchy canyon-size riffs lead to psychedelic guitar solos; subdued vocals add a mellow touch; and the meandering, groove-laden ambience ultimately creates crushing doom riffage. The sum of the parts is only strengthened by the natural vibe between these musical heavyweights – all of whom embody the true spirit of the Roadburn Festival.”

Incubate says: “Go!”

Other acts that have been confirmed for next years four-day riff extravaganza are Only Death Is Real, Candlemass, Goatsnake and Yob.
