This weekend, The Hague will be the epicenter of underground culture. On Friday and Saturday the sixth edition of State X New Forms will take over different stages in and around the Paard van Troje venue in The Hague. It’s a festival giving cutting edge music and art a chance in the limelight and a diverse audience. Just like… well us, really.

Time for some serious tuting of our own horn! State X has some bands on it’s roster that already played Incubate or ZXZW.

Stellar Om Source (photo above) played ZXZW in 2008. She plays some serious ambient drones using guitars, synthesizers and effect pedals.
Trad, Grass Och Stenar played ZXZW in 2007. Krauthippies from Sweden.  Inspired by the minimal music from Terry Riley and spaced out acid rock they were the key band from the Swedish Underground scene in the sixties and seventies.
Daily Bread is the new and hip band from The Netherlands. It’s indie, dance and raw ’60 garage molded into one band. They played Incubate last year.
Knalpot is in the same categorie as Daily Bread: hip, young energetic and Dutch. It’s freejazzrock extraordinaire! You could see them live at Incubate in 2009.
