White Lightnin’ in Filmfoyer Tilburg

January 11, 2010

Jesco White is an acclaimed mountain dancer (American folklore dance) and entertainer. But he was also an outlaw, a drug addict and tormented talent. For instance: he met his future wife when he tried to rob her. White Lightnin’ by Dominic Murphy tells the dramatized story about this artist, that has been the inspiration for songs of many musicians and bands like The Badnads, Hank Williams III, Sam Black Church, The Kentucky Headhunters and Jim Shelley. Quotes of Jesco can be heard in songs of Atomic Bitchwax, Mastodon and ASG.

Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th of January in De Filmfoyer in Tilburg, 20:00 h.
