Ah, there it is again: the new Roadburn edition! From the 15th ’till the 18th of April Tilburg will be the stoner capital of the world. And yes: that is something to be proud of. In honour of this great festival, Inlog.org has a Roadburn special for you, outlining just a few of the many must-sees.
There is just no escaping the guys from Enslaved (at Roadburn on April 15th) this Roadburn. I think they deserve the hardest working band of Roadburn 2010 badge without a doubt. Not only will they perform the highly anticipated Armageddon Symphony with label mates Shining and will some of them play with Trinacria and/or Dream of an Opium Eater, they will perform as Enslaved as well. But hey, that’s what you get when you’re artist in residence at Roadburn.
Anyone who saw these progressive extreme metallers play the last couple of years knows that they excel in giving away great performances. They never forget to play a couple of golden oldies for the more stubborn black metal heads but are not afraid to play more accessible songs like Ruun during that same set.
Always pushing the boundaries of extreme metal, I think Enslaved is a worthy headliner for a progressive festival like Roadburn.
