On the 29th of march the latest Favela Painting and the first part of ‘O Morro’: Praça Cantão by Haas & Hahn was finished. Check out the results here and here. In the early 2000s a similar project to beautify a city’s ugliness was initiated by the mayor of Albanian capital Tirana. Edi Rama -himself a former painter and sculptor- asked artists to paint buildings façades in what has become known as the Edi Rama colours ( bright yellow, green, violet).
