[inQ&A] The Night Terrors

June 20, 2010

Only a few more months until Incubate 2010. For the past few months we’ve been announcing new artists every week. But with 200 + artists coming up in September we can imagine you losing your hold. That’s why we compiled the Incubate 2010 Spotify playlist (http://incu.at/spotify). Subscribing to this playlist will get you acquainted with most of the Incubate 2010 bands.

Apart from their music, part of the getting-to-know-them-better-proces will also be us asking some of the artists a few questions in the upcoming months. The eighteenth  edition in a series:

The Night Terrors

1.Can you please introduce yourself?
My name is Miles Brown, I play theremin, synth and bass with The Night Terrors from Melbourne, Australia.

2.Where are you at the moment?
Just taking a short break from recording our new album here in Melbourne.

3.Have you played in the Netherlands before and if so, what’s your view on or experience with the scene you’re operating in in The Netherlands?
This will be our first show in the Netherlands and we are super excited!

4.What can we expect of your gig at the Incubate Festival?
We’ll be bringing our theremin-led synth noise rock to Europe for the second time, and Incubate will be the first show of our 2010 tour. Audiences can expect big scary sounds, wailing theremin and warped minds.

5.What are your plans for the (near) future?
We’re playing at the Sydney Opera House next Monday with Melt-Banana, Boris, Bardo Pond and Oren Ambarchi as part of the Vivid Live festival, curated by Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson. After that we’ll be finishing our new record, packing our stuff and getting ready to fly north and rock Incubate!
