[inQ&A] Neil Landstrumm

June 28, 2010

Only three more months until Incubate 2010. For the past few months we’ve been announcing new artists every week. But with 200 + artists coming up in September we can imagine you losing your hold. That’s why we compiled the Incubate 2010 Spotify playlist (http://incu.at/spotify). Subscribing to this playlist will get you acquainted with most of the Incubate 2010 bands.

Apart from their music, part of the getting-to-know-them-better-proces will also be us asking some of the artists a few questions in the upcoming months. The twenty-sixth edition in a series:

Neil Landstrumm

1.Can you please introduce yourself?
Hello Im Neil Landstrumm from Scotland. I record for Planet Mu and have a label called Scandinavia.

2.Where are you at the moment?
In my studio called  ”The Witness Rooms” in Edinburgh. It’s sunny outside.

3.Have you played in the Netherlands before and if so, what’s your view on or experience with the scene you’re operating in in The Netherlands?
Yeh loads of times. Always ahead of the game and I’ve met some sound people in Holland over the years, I think Utrecht is my favourite Dutch city.

4.What can we expect of your gig at the Incubate Festival?
A live mix of different UK genres over the years. Some old like bass, bleep and rave and some new which you haven’t even heard of yet. I’ve been going more garage-y recently with some electro tinged upbeat numbers also.

5.What are your plans for the (near) future?

Im recording a new full length LP for Planet MU at the moment and hawking some tracks to some other label so it’s going to be a studio based year for me I think.
