Only two more months until Incubate 2010. For the past few months we’ve been announcing new artists every week. But with 200 + artists coming up in September we can imagine you losing your hold. That’s why we compiled the Incubate 2010 Spotify playlist (http://incu.at/spotify). Subscribing to this playlist will get you acquainted with most of the Incubate 2010 bands.
Apart from their music, part of the getting-to-know-them-better-proces will also be us asking some of the artists a few questions in the upcoming months. The forty-second edition in a series:
1.Can you please introduce yourself?
We’re a bunch of seriously Bad Guys, comprised of PJ, Mark, Dave and myself, Stu.
2.Where are you at the moment?
We’re currently on our London tour, which has been going for about a year and a half.
3.Have you played in the Netherlands before and if so, what’s your view on or experience with the scene you’re operating in in The Netherlands?
Our band hasn’t played The Netherlands before but I went to visit a noise musician in Amsterdam once and I left an expensive pair of headphones at his house and when another friend of mine went to visit him two years later he gave him the headphones to give back to me which was dead nice I thought ’cause he could have probably got about a hundred quid for them on ebay. He also showed me this fucking crazy film about these medieval guys who didn’t realise it was modern times so they freaked out when they saw a car for the first time and stuff like that. That was well good, so yeah, I guess all Dutch artists must be lovely.
4.What can we expect of your gig at the Incubate Festival?
Some heavy riffs, some jumping about and rolling on the floor, some shouting, some broken drumsticks, a hairy guy, a guy with girl’s hair, a guy with no hair, someone might take their top off and I might tell a joke.
5.What are your plans for the (near) future?
We’re putting out a split 7″ with Dethscalator, planning a little euro tour with Gum Takes Tooth and once we get a bit of money together PJ is gonna get his tits done, marks going to purchase a happy ending, me and Dave are going to get some expensive hand stitched wigs.
