Less than two months until Incubate 2010. For the past few months we’ve been announcing new artists every week. But with 200 + artists coming up in September we can imagine you losing your hold. That’s why we compiled the Incubate 2010 Spotify playlist (http://incu.at/spotify). Subscribing to this playlist will get you acquainted with most of the Incubate 2010 bands.
Apart from their music, part of the getting-to-know-them-better-proces will also be us asking some of the artists a few questions in the upcoming months. The forty-sixth edition in a series:
1.Can you please introduce yourself?
I’m The Puddle Parade aka LN (which is short for Ellen).
2.Where are you at the moment?
At home, at the couch, laptop on my knees. More precise location: Utrecht, NL.
3.Have you played in the Netherlands before and if so, what’s your view on or experience with the scene you’re operating in in The Netherlands?
I think I played most of my shows in the netherlands (few others in Belgium and Germany). I also organized quite some shows for other artists and i’m attending a loooot of shows myself. I personally prefer small places (as artist and audience). No crowd, no loud, no chat, no sweat :)
4.What can we expect of your gig at the Incubate Festival?
Well .. i’m not that much a planner (at this moment it’s still 2 months to go till incubate). Maybe a background singer? Maybe some artsy stuff? New songs? Homemade goodies? One thing for sure: lo-fi loops!
5.What are your plans for the (near) future?
See above .. but some very vague, very much ahead plans are: recording more, playing more, touring more, making a photobook, starting a distro/blog, running (and cooking in) a music cafe, getting someone to release The Puddle Parade on vinyl, starting a screamo-mathrock band (think liars vs breeders), visiting japan, moving (back) to Berlin into a house with HIGH walls.
