[inQ&A] Andykisaragi

August 8, 2010

Less than two months until Incubate 2010. For the past few months we’ve been announcing new artists every week. But with 200 + artists coming up in September we can imagine you losing your hold. That’s why we compiled the Incubate 2010 Spotify playlist (http://incu.at/spotify). Subscribing to this playlist will get you acquainted with most of the Incubate 2010 bands.

Apart from their music, part of the getting-to-know-them-better-proces will also be us asking some of the artists a few questions in the upcoming months. The sixty-third edition in a series:

Andykisaragi

1.Can you please introduce yourself?
I’m Andyisaragi, DJ / producer / remixer and the main guy behind the Untimely Sound blog http://www.untimelysound.co.uk.

2.Where are you at the moment?
I’m at work, trying to make this email look business-related…

3.Have you played in the Netherlands before and if so, what’s your view on or experience with the scene you’re operating in in The Netherlands?
No I never have, I’m really looking forward to it – I’d actually never been to the Netherlands until a couple of months ago, but since then I’ve been back and forward loads of times – I live on a boat, and I’m buying a new one from over there! So I’m excited to come and party with you all, I’ve found the Dutch to be some of the friendliest people in the world..!

4.What can we expect of your gig at the Incubate Festival?
Vintage sounds, traditional tunes and cutting edge beats… but it all depends what happens on the night! I always bring plenty of country on the off chance that everyone’s up for a good ol’ hoedown…

5.What are your plans for the (near) future?
Buying a boat, then coming to Tilburg! In the meantime I’m also playing at Shambala festival and Bristol’s long running techno/trance night Ripsnorter’s first foray into the world of swing…

After seeing Thee Oh Sees nearly destroy Area51 last week I was glad to see the place still standing. What were we to do without our regular supplier of garage bands? Luckily the skatepark/venue was still where it ought to be, this evening containing Purling Hiss and Richie Dagger. After 10 minutes spent judging the skaters [...]
