R.I.P. Christoph Schlingensief

Christoph Schlingensief was one of the true underground spirits, operating in the mainstream circuit. He worked with people like Felix Kubin but also performed at festivals like Holland Festival. He died too young. His performance Auslander Raus was one of the most impressive works I’ve ever seen. Political. Cutting-edge. Combining mass media with the avant-garde. If you look at the current political Dutch situation it’s THE piece describing it.
