[Watch] Steve Heather – Bongo a bang bang

August 27, 2010

Bongo a Bang Bang is a composition for drums, pyrotechnics and prerecorded crowd sounds. Its about climaxes, climaxes and more climaxes, with a nod to the epically but prepostorous drumsolo’s of old (think: Ginger Baker, Cosy Powell, John Bonham and (yuk!) Lars Ulrich). The drums are handled by improv/jazz/experimentalist Steve Heather. His sidekick Skadi earned her pyrotechnics skills through shows for a.o. Lenny Kravitz, Robbie Williams and Genesis. Get a good giggle out of it! 14 September they perform at Incubate.
