[Today at Incubate] Day 3: Neon Indian, Hester Scheurwater, The Chap and Women

September 14, 2010

Day 3: Tuesday 14 September

Today we have some good musical stuff in store for you. We start off chill with chillwave band Neon Indian. Pitchfork Media declared the band’s debut, Psychic Chasms the 14th best album of 2009. You want to explore the pyromaniac inside yourself? Then make sure to go to Bongo a Bang Bang, a composition for drums, pyrotechnics and prerecorded crowd sounds. Its about climaxes, climaxes and….climaxes. If you prefer layered guitars, noisy pop songs and delicate, melodic songwriting you should go to  Space Siren, Idiot Glee and Women. All of them will be performing at V39. If you still haven’t had enough by then, we’re sure that experimental pop band The Chap from London will conclude the day with a blast. By the way, The Chap is for FREE!

Apart from the music, just like yesterday, there will be movies as a part of the Pirate Cinema program. Today you can watch The Asylum’s mockbuster Snakes on a Train and softporn movie Abducted By The Daleks.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure to see the work of Hester Scheurwater who will continue exhibiting all throughout the city centre of Tilburg. With her wildbeaming project she’ll be projecting huge images on walls, churches and other buildings in the city centre the whole week long. The city turns into a museum.

Next to all that you can still go and download your favorite music, movies and software at our Kiosk of Piracy (bring your laptop or pc!), go see Tanis/Verhoef and Martijn Hendriks & Ryan Trecartion, the OCCII Poster expo or check out the many statues in the city center of Tilburg wearing pirated clothes made by the Incubate Sweatshop.

More info on all artists and the program can of course be found at our site and in the Incubate festival guide. Timetables can be found here.

Happy Incubating!
