Day 5: Thursday September 16

Day 5 of Incubate already and our program keeps expanding! Check out what we have in store for you today.

For all you hardcore kids we have shows by ForgetToForgive, Haribo Macht Kinder Froh and LightsGoBlue at the V39 tonight. That’s right, time to mosh it up! But no worries if you’re not quite the mosher. Tonight at the Paradox you can enjoy the musical multimedia extravaganza of The Superusers and the dirty synth punk of The Dreams. More into jazz? Lucky you! At the NS16 we have a unique collaboration between three giants of improvised jazz, namely Bram Stadhouders, Sidsel Endresen and Jim Black. And ofcourse like every dat this week, another free show at Cul de Sac! This time by British IDM/glitch artist Frog Pocket.

At our Pirate Cinema we have a very special screening for you today: the European premiere of The Asylum’s Titanic II! As you probably know, we’ve been screening movies by Hollywood’s most hated film studio The Asylum all week long. These guys do what they’re good at, and what they’re good at is making rip offs of big hollywood blockbuster movies. In Titanic II the ship doesn’t run into an iceberg, but an iceberg threatens to run into the ship. Gotta love it. Another movie worth mentioning is definetely the hilarious Brazilian remake of Star Wars. This remake full of embarrassingly bad sets, ridiculous special effects and even dance scenes to the worst disco music you’ve ever heard, was released before the originial Star Wars and was actually a bigger hit in South America than the original. Go check it out, you’ll laugh your pants off.

Also today we’ll open a new exhibition called New Jacks 2.0, which gives an overview of five promising and emerging artists from Brabant. At the Duvelhok you can check out work by Sven Fritz, Matijs van de Kerkhof, Klaas Burger, Teun Jansen and Anita Hrnic from 16:00 to 20:00, and from tomorrow on every day from 14:00 to 20:00.

And then ofcourse we have the legendary Heavy Metal Bowling event! Drinking and bowling to heavy metal with DJ Patchman Marco spinning the tunes! Unfortunately this event has been sold out for some weeks now, so if you don’t have a ticket for this yet, you’ll have to entertain yourself elsewise. With all of the above, we’re pretty sure this won’t be a problem…

More info on all artists and the program can of course be found at our site and in the Incubate festival guide. Timetables can be found here.

Happy Incubating!
