Last day of Incubate! But don’t be sad, ’cause what a day this is gonna be!
In the Pauluskerk today we have free folk guitarist Six Organs of Admittance presenting some very exclusive material especially written for Incubate! Six Organs of Admittance coremember Ben Chasny was recently here to visit the Mary Chapels, which are little chapels in the landscape of Brabant. Ben has been working on some exclusive music inspired by these chapels and will present his new work tonight at 19:30!
And we have more folk inspired music in store for you today. What to think of Damien Jurado‘s beautiful indie folk songs, also presented to you in the Pauluskerk. Or newcomers Cpt. Badass with their Songs:Ohia-like Americana sound in the Cul de Sac.
For all you doomsters and stoners we have plenty in store today as well. Go check out Kodiak or Alkerdeel for some ultra droning sludge or the heavy grooves of Barn Burner, Invasion or Premonition, a special jam project by doom legend Wino.
Headliner of our music program today is Hallogallo 2010 plays Neu! music. The band led by no-one else than original Neu! member Michael Rother himself, features Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley on drums and will take you back in time to the heydays of the influential krautrock group Neu! This will be legendary…
In our Pirate Cinema we’ll have two screenings of the ODDSAC movie today. ODDSAC is an experimental film featuring psychedelic visuals, directed by Danny Perez and with music by Animal Collective. You can catch this highly acclaimed movie at 12:00 and 15:00 at the Filmfoyer. Also, in the rerun: The Asylum’s Titanic II, which had it’s European premiere at our festival earlier this week. Shortly before that we’ll screen another one of The Asylum’s movies called Alien vs Hunter.
Ofcourse there’s much and much more music today than we can ever put in this blogpost, and you can still go see some great art by Tanis/Verhoef, Jeroen Doorenweerd, Thomas I’Anson, Martijn Hendriks, Ryan Trecartion, Hester Schearwater and the New Jacks 2.0. And if you’re still not tired at the end of the day, head over to the Little Devil for the Incubate 2010 afterparty!
