With three frenetic and uncompromising records in three years Ty Segall is well on is way to becoming my personal garagerock hero. Combining lo-fi production techniques with characteristic skills and outstanding songwriting, this American punk artist rose above the crowd. A crowd of great bands inspired by Oblivians, Jay Reatard or The Gories. But Segall adds his own special recipe of haunting hooks, demanding diction and humor.
