I’d never expected being surprised by a new Menomena record. Their three previous records were nice and solid so were their live shows. But their latest efford Mines caught me totally off guard. It opens almost like Spoon’s Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga with Queen Black Acid a song that doesn’t give you any clue on where these guys are heading.
