Gonzo vision is a style of reporting, founded by Hunter S. Thompson (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) where not the events but the experiences are the center of the report.

Gonzo is een stijl van verslaggeving, ontsproten aan de eigenzinnige journalistieke stijl van Hunter S. Thompson (bekend van zijn cult-klassieker ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ uit 1971, later nog verfilmd door Terry Gilliam). Niet de feitelijke gebeurtenissen, maar zijn eigen ervaringen staan aan de basis van zijn verslagen.
