After a succesful first edition with the likes of Loops Haunt (also performing at Incubated 09), Knalpot (Incubate 2009) and Funckarma, FAQ Festival’s second edition will take place next week! This time even bigger, FAQ will take place at both W2 in Den Bosch and de Toonzaal. 17 cutting acts will play across this two day festival and we’ll highlight a few must-see artists for you! And, you can win 2×2 passe partouts for the festival!

Friday: The first day of the festival will start off easy, gearing up for the madness on Saturday. This day will feature headliner Oneohtrix Point Never for some serious droning ambient music as well as the beautiful cello music of Hildur Gudnadottir. Three Trapped Tiggers (see picture underneath) is one of UK’s current best math/post rock bands around (fans of 65daysofstatic will surely love this) while in the evening acts like Jameszoo (which we recommended before on the blog) and Games will get some feet of the floor.

Saturday: First of all Meat Beat Manifesto is setting foot on Dutch soil again after 6 years! This legendary act has been around since 1987 already, helping to form music styles such as jungle and big beat. You can place them somewhere between The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and The Future Sound of London. Maniac Otto Von Schirach (see picture underneath) was part of our legendary ZXZW breakcore evening in 2008 and will also participate in the FAQ Festival night program. Jason Forrest (aka DJ Donna Summer) will play along side him as well as Toktek (ZXZW 2007) with DJ 30303 for some serious acid!
