[Incubated 07] interview with Sightings

March 30, 2011

Next week the Paradox will be the home for another Incubated edition! This edition will feature John Maus, Sightings and Eklin. We had an interview with Mark Morgan, the guitar player and singer from Sightings. You can read the interview below.

1. Can you please introduce yourself?
My name is Mark Morgan.  I play guitar and sing in Sightings.  I was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1974 and currently reside in Brooklyn, NY

2.Have you played in the Netherlands before and if so, what’s your view on or experience with the scene you’re operating in in The Netherlands?
Yes, we’ve played in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag and Nijmegen. To be honest, I don’t really have an opinion on the scene.  I guess it’s fine or something.

3.What can we expect of your gig at Incubated?
I’m expecting a decent performance on our part if we don’t get too drunk beforehand.

4. What do you think of the other acts playing at Incubated 07 (John Maus & Eklin)?
I checked out one song by John Maus called “Rights For Gays” and I thought it was good.  The speakers are broken on my computer right now so I can’t offer an opinion on Eklin.

5.What are your plans for the (near) future?
We’re going to record another album this summer.
