Help out Dan Deacon! (Incubate 2010)

May 2, 2011

After watching this video of some kind of sequencer-like machine Dan Deacon (Incubate 2010) asked his followers on Facebook what the machine could be:

“does anyone have any idea what the orange device on the left of this video is called?”

Maybe you can help him out? Here is what he has to say about the device (check out his Facebook page for more comments):

“ok, thanks to everyone who posted non-snarky responses and sorry if you read my all caps as well, it was yelling out of excitement. ok, so the reason i am interested in THAT particular device, not one like or similar to, but that one in par…ticular is the little keyboard section on it. it looks like it could possibly be played as a stand alone device. i have some dimmer packs that do that but with only 4 sets of outlets and they are rather heavy so difficult to travel with. that little orange guy looks PERFECT because its got what looks like 12 different “playable” outlets as well as direct midi in, unless thats DMX in, i can’t tell from the resolution in the video. i contacted the maker of the video, but they seem to have no logged into that account in months, although the video was added a few days ago. anyway, the quest for that device continues. maybe i’m wrong but it looks too slick to be a 1 off device.”
