Today’s artist is:
Jeffry Koopman - “I like the irregular creating and transforming dynamics of violent situations, like a tree falling true a wooden shed changing a common object into something much more interesting than there was before by forcing the inside out etc.. or the flayling limbs of people in a moshpit at a concert..or film footage of a massfight.. a fallen horseman shot full of arrows with spears sticking out of him and his horse on a renaisance battlepainting.. the weird balancing of body postures of stumbling drunks on the verge of falling over..
This agressive dynamic i also put in my sculpture which kinda looks like two very large hands moulded a human figure out of a few brokendownhouses.I use agression as a tool in my workingprocess cutting, stabbing, scratching and tearing the (mostly) human figures into linoleum or wood.”
