[Read] interview with Paul Clipson (Incubate 2011)

June 16, 2011

Paul Clipson (who was confirmed earlier today for Incubate 2011 together with Jefre Cantu-Ledesma) is a filmmaker who shoots his experimental films exclusively with a Super8 camera. During Incubate 2011 he will support Jefre Cantu-Ledesma with visuals during his show. The interview below goes in depth about his relation to Jefre Cantu-Ledesma als you can read below. The full interview can be found by clicking this link.

“I first encountered your work at the On Land Fest last fall.  How would you characterize your relationship with Jefre Cantu?

“We’re good friends, and we work together at the museum.  Since he and I collaborate a lot, we have a really strong bond of associations.  We don’t necessarily agree, but we compliment each other.  It’s comparative.  He might know a certain composer, but I would have no knowledge of that person, but I’ll tell him about these filmmakers.  With On Land, he was like, “You have to play with these people!”  He’s like a producer, in a way.”
