More information on the ‘Wineke Works With Wooden Shjips’ show this evening

September 17, 2011

We’ve received some more information from Wineke Gartz on the Wooden Shjips show this evening and thought we might as well share this with you, to give a taste of what’s to come.

The show will kick off with Wineke’s projections and a music piece by Nash Whalen (keyboardist of Wooden Shjips) which he made over the past few months inspired by Wineke’s video’s of windmills in California. After this Wooden Shjips will play some improvisation work along with bass player Dusty on trumpet and will play some Wooden Shjips material from the studio albums after that.

Many of these video’s are from Wineke’s winter trip to California, NY and the East Coast along with video’s of skaters in Paris from 1999, but never used before. These skaters were actually skating along with music from The KLF (Bill Drummond!) on ghettoblasters there, but now with music of Wooden Shjips of course!

Wineke works with Wooden Shjips will play at FAXX Building this evening from 22:00h ’till 00:00h.
