On the DIY-conference on the 16th of september you could see the documentary PressPausePlay. The movie is all about the ‘Do it yourself movement’. ‘The digital revolution has brought us creativity and talent, with unending opportunities.’ The film is a documentary, that has interviews with some of the world’s most influential creators of the digital era. The main question the movie has is: ‘Does democratized culture mean better art or is true talent instead drowned out?’
PressPausePlay now comes with an interactive part, where you can find more information about the people who are interviewed. The whole documentary is interactive, the film stops at any time when you want more information via the screen. The screen gives you numerous options, for example the more or the hotspot button. If you press any of these buttons you can watch additional footage, extended cuts of the clips, external media links and see the music that is currently playing. Another feature is that you can watch the several interviews separately, interviews with the director Michel Gondry, Skype co-founder Niklas Zennström and Artist Robyn.
You can download the ‘normal’ documentary and/or the interactive documentary at the PressPausePlay website.
