First of, I have to correct something. Yesterday, I wrote about the band the Sensible Soccer track ‘Wild Pianos’. Fact is, the band is called Sensible Soccers, and the track ‘Wild Piano’. Sorry, guys! Anyway, the entire EP can be downloaded for a Pay What You Want price, so please do!
Anyway, what have you missed on the blogosphere yesterday?

Cannabis Corpse – Gateways To Inhalation
Let’s start of with some lovely Death Metal. And some pot. A lot of pot. For those who don’t know Cannabis Corpse yet (really? Where have you been?), this isn’t a Cannibal Corpse coverband, this is a rock n rolling death metal ode to weed. And they have a new video out. Watch it below.

HTRK – Bendin
The blogs are stuffed with synthpop and electropop artists nowadays. We try to put it in perspective, but when something is good, it’s good. And we’ll post about it. Like the dark ambient synthpop of HTRK. Very atmospheric and some lovely Esben And The Witch-esque vocals. All the way from Melbourne and originally formed as Hate Rock Trio, their new album ‘Work (work, work)‘ drops later this year.

Zech’s Marquise – Lock Jaw Night Vision
Next to Matthew Wilkson and Marcos Smith, this band is completed by Rico, Marcel and Marfred Rodriguez-Lopez. That has got to be family of The Mars Volta, you say. And they are. And their are definitely connection between the sounds of those two bands. Zech’s Marquise are as experimental, but in contrary to The Mars Volta instrumental. So if you liked At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta, but don’t like the emo-ish vocals, check out this band!

Empyrean – Same Syllables
It came to our attention that Empyrean will release his debut album in November on the Zaubernuss label. His electronic-acoustic ambient sounds filled with field recordings drew our attention about a month ago. So we’ll be looking forward what the only-19-year-old is capable of on his debutrelease ‘Sans Semblance’. In the meantime, please enjoy these soothing sounds.
So there’s that. More stuff to listen to tomorrow. Like any of these artists? Tell our bookers you like them on GetSatisfaction!
