[Listen] Zola Jesus concert stream

October 25, 2011

Last week, NPR posted a concert stream from Zola Jesus, who performed at last year’s Incubate Festival. Born in Wisconsin, she wanted to be an opera singer, but she had stage anxiety and allot of insecurities so that dream fell through. In her teens, she discovered experimental (synth)rock and goth music, with brooding words. This is what she wanted to do, so in 2006 she began as Zola Jesus. Her latest album, Contanus, came out little over a month ago and she is been touring ever since. The concert was taped at Le Poisson Rouge, New York City and you can listen to it here, a full hour of experimental rock. Dream away with the Wisconsin girl and have fun!
