[Art] Drawings by Julian De Narvaez

We found these wonderful drawings on InspireFirst, and we’re absolutely hooked. They’re made by Julian De Narvaez. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, he graduated as a graphic designer on  la Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in 2002, and he got a Web Design Creation degree on the same University 2 years later.

His paintings are small fairytales, sometimes a bit cartoon-esque, but full of symbolism and always immensely detailed. Almost all of them have a weird perception of depth or logic. On first look, they seem to be designed for children’s books. But when you look closer, you’ll find that there’s something sinister. In the drawing itself, or in the atmosphere the drawing creates.
