They are good friends of us so we’re kinda biased, but we think the blog of Lost Painters is one of the best Dutch art blogs around. But blogging doesn’t make that much money. None whatsoever actually. And Lost Painters is pushing their limits. But now artist Rob Scholte comes to the rescue. He wants to support Lost Painters financially, so he offers a work for sale. The entire proceeds will go to the blog. The work is called ‘N8W8‘.
About ‘N8W8‘:
“The work shows the autonomy of the work itself. Where’s the real authenticity of, in this case, a work that’s made thousands of times? On the back, of course. There one can see the real toil of the grandma with her embroidery stuff on the Nachtwacht by Rembrandt. Fair is fair, the result is recognizably universal and unique, a gorgeous image.”
And you can buy that work by Rob Scholte to support Lost Painters here. You can also donate to Lost Painters individually: mail to info@lost-painters.nl to keep this awesome blog going!
