We are very pleased to announce that the noise-punk band Pterodactyl is going to perform on Incubated 15! Pterodactyl is the first band to be announced for the 15th edition of Incubated on the 1st of March at the Paradox, Tilburg.
Pterodactyl is a band all the way from Brooklyn, New York. The band exist of four members, Joe Kremer (guitar/vocals), Matt Marlin (drums/vocals), Jesse Hodges (guitar/bass/vocals) and Zach Lehrhoff (guitar/bass/vocals). They released their third album, Spills Out, last month and its described as a ‘triumphant, melancholic and an unapologetically pop album’. The sound of Pterodactyl is an experimental noise-punk sound and described as a ‘Hyper-rhythmic, skull-cracking hard post-punk, playing with laser-guided precision, telegraphing impossible changes, it’s as if someone plugged these guys into the nearest available wall socket and flipped the on switch.’ The albums are released on Brad-records that’s being curated by Oneida, which is a sublabel of Jagjaguwar (Black Mountain, Dinosaur Jr. and Bon Iver). A must see for the fans of Liars, and with their new sound, enthusiasts of Ganglians and Shimmering Stars will like Pterodactyl.
