[Art Monday] The Nefelejcs Project by MERGE INVISIBLE

December 12, 2011

MERGE INVISIBLE is a group of people who live in Budapest, Hungary and they made this memorial painting. The Nefelejcs Project, the Forget-me-not Project, was made in the 8th district where all the old buildings are being demolished. They wanted to create a memory of the old buildings in the neighbourhood by painting a memorial paintings. As you can see in the video below the measurements of the building walls, roof and every detail is exactly as it is inside of the house. By using black and white paint they wanted to create an x-ray effect.  The video is a stop-motion video and it’s shot during the week-long paint job.
