Incu12-artists Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat have won the Scottish Album of the Year-award

June 22, 2012

Off course we were already convinced, but now also the Scottish Music Industry Association has rewarded the collaboration album of Bill Wells together with Aidan Moffat Everything’s Getting Older with the best Scottish Album of the Year-Award.  This year it was the first time the Scottish equivalent of the British Mercury Prize or the Canadian Polaris Music Prize handed out. Other likely candidates were Rustie‘s Glass Swords and Hardcore Never Die, But You Will by the post-rockers from Mogwai, but our favorite bearded men have won. Aidan Moffat, formerly known from Arab Strap, said about this achievement:

“It was a great shortlist. The Scottish Album of the Year Award is all about introducing people to a wide variety of different types music – the award is very, very important from an industry point of view too and we hope there are many more of them.

And if you haven’t heard it jet or just as a reminder; the award-winners will be playing together at our festival on Friday the 14th.
