For his self-titled debut record Mikal Cronin did get some helps from his friends Ty Segall and John Dwyer from Thee Oh Sees. That’s why it’s not so hard to guess where does this sounds like; Fuzzy garagerock from the sunny West Coast. Yesterday he played two shows at the Metropolis festival and he was considered as one of the highlights of the day.
But don’t worry if you missed that; tomorrow evening, the 3th of July, Mikal Cronin is playing a free show at 013. A nice fact is that the support of the evening comes from Traumahelikopter, the lo-fi rock ‘n’ roll from Groningen who played at our Incubated evening last November. Oh.. and don’t forget to give a free drink to the man who’s playing records between the performances; that’s our own beloved colleague Peter Meeuwsen.
