[Theater @ #incu12] ‘Laughin while drinkin sour milk’ (Jaime Ibanez)

July 6, 2012

This year Incubate presents not only a lot of great music, films, visual art and debate, but we’ve asked Zeebelt to put together a theaterprogram that can match the rest of the program. And so they did. We will be announcing one theater addition of Zeebelt in Residence for seven days on a row. We hope you like it as much as we do, as we are very proud to present this to you for the first time.

Laughin while drinkin sour milk, 12 September, Hall of Fame

concept, performance: Jaime Ibanez
production: Zeebelt, Feikes Huis
advice: Pauline Kalker

In an absurdist spectacle Jaime Ibanez tells tragicomic stories while setting his self made contraptions in motion; a moving one man performance of fragile beauty. Something to look out for if you like Michel Gondry (The Science of Sleep) en Jean Pierre Jeunet (Amélie)

“I laughed very hard, if it happened while I was drinking milk, it would splash out of my nose, but i was out of milk, to experience this effect, i needed to get it from the supermarket first”.

[Nederlands]
