A few months ago we launched the ‘Join the Biggest Band on Earth’ project. We received a lot of applications by people who are really enthusiastic to become part of the Damo Suzuki Network and to join the legendary Damo Suzuki (Can) on stage. Among the participants are a lot of musicians who are performing with their own bands at Incubate but also lots of local musicians as well. This is your chance to see them improvise and probably try things they normally wouldn’t.
The following musicians will be playing with Damo Suzuki:
Friday September 14th: Damon Palermo (Mi Ami, Magic Touch), Philipp Wulf (Messer), Marc van den Berg, Marijn Westerlaken (Those Foreign Kids), Steven Jouwersma, Tyson McShane (Slow Down, Molasses), Douwe Dijkstra, Bastian Ottenhus (Messer), Johan Westerkamp, Matej Banusik and Natasha Taylor.
Saturday September 15th: Zé Trigueiros, Peter Maybury (Thread Pulls), René van Lien (Neon Rainbows), Cian Nugent, Adam Byczkowski (Coldair), Arnoud van Heereveld, Greg Haines, Clare Tavernor, Silvia Koellner, Natascha Schampus and Mike Kramer.
Sunday September 16th: Bram Nigten (WOLVON), Sebastiaan Janssen, John Bohannon (Ancient Ocean), Denis Wouters, Jean DeLacoste, Wessel Maas, Kasper van Hoek, Tibor Bijl, Christina Beteringhe, David Aird (Vindicatrix), Carla Bozulich (Evangelista) and Dominic Cramp (Evangelista).
Besides performing with all these great musicians, Damo Suzuki will be interviewed at the DIY Conference about the Damo Suzuki Network. He will be interviewed by Ian Harrison from MOJO Magazine about the origins and thoughts behind the project. The interview takes place on Friday, from 15:15 till 16:15 in the afternoon. Of course, you’re welcome to come and ask him some questions yourself, so don’t miss out!
