For a few months Tunng frontman Mike Lindsay lived a withdrawn life in a corner of Iceland. He teamed up with local residents and some leaders of the Icelandic pop scene. Together they wrote and recorded the self-titled album Cheek Mountain Thief: a quite folky album, full of violins, trumpets, strumming guitar and vocals. The warm acoustic atmosphere and almost whispered vocals create an intimate ‘living room with fireplace and lots of friends’-feeling.
