Less than a month until Incubate 2012. For the past few months we’ve been announcing new artists every week. But with 200 + artists coming up in September we can imagine you losing your hold. That’s why we compiled the Incubate 2012 Spotify playlist. Subscribing to this playlist will get you acquainted with most of the bands. Apart from their music, part of the getting-to-know-them-better-proces will also be us asking some of the artists a few questions in the upcoming months. Here are 8 questions for Dagora, answered Luc “the madman with a suitcase of self-made electrical goods of Dagora.”
Where are you at the moment? What about last night? Where do you want to be?
At home right now having a coffee, digitalizing some cassette tapes.
Last night I got back from a weekend in the forests of the Ardennes and then watched X-Files.
I’d like to be uhhh….checking out a White Mice gig !!!
And where is your next gig?
25th of August, Mysteryland (hahahahha!!)
What do you think is the best part of being an artist?
Freedom, although that is sometimes hard to handle and pretty much an illusion at times.
What would you be doing if it wasn’t for music?
Painting white walls, I love it !
What song is in your head right now?
Listening to Vile Vile Creatures right now, that kinda overpowers my brain trying to make up something else.
Which festival did you last go to just for visiting instead of performing?
Hippy Pest, crazy French DIY festival at an abandoned railway station close to some small town close to Nancy in France last summer.
Do you have any band-rituals? Seen any weird ones along your way?
Talking about spaceships, talking about improvisation, talking about drum techniques versus knob twisting techniques.
Personally I like shotgunning beers on stage, but that hasn’t happened with this band yet..!
What do you think to expect from Incubate festival?
Fun, beer, tour kickoff as we will be going with Mik Quantius and his wonderful blue hippy van into the UK !
