[Incubate Daily Preview] Monday

Today is the big day! It’s Incu Monday! Which means our week of celebrating independent culture has finally begun.

We’re all freakin’ excited and we’re really curious to know what you, the visitor will make of our effords this year. We’ve got an incredibly exciting time ahead of us and we really want to know your opinion and experiences on Incubate. After all, YOU ARE INCUBATE. So drop us a line on Facebook or Twitter (#incu12) when you’ve visited something you like or when you’ve seen/experienced something remarkable and enlighten us!

And if you want to be up-to-date on the latest changes, view the time shedule on the fly and browse through the line-up where ever you are and more; then be sure to download our Incubate 2012 app! With all that being said we’re now going back to business. We imagine you’re having trouble picking your favourites amongst all of the 300+ artists this year. That’s why we’ll be giving you the daily heads up for some artists we think you can’t miss. Offcourse, we think you should go and see it all, but unfortunately that’s humanly impossible!

So, without further ado; here is the low down on Monday:

MUSIC
Napalm Death. These patriarchs of grindcore will shake up 013 and announce Incubate’s arrival in the city at 22:30. Prior to this show is Dr. Doom with one of their two final shows ever at 20:45.

Angel Olsen and her sweet, sweet voice will lighten up the Paradox with a mesmerizing show @21:30

Hjálmar The reversed version of Cool runnings. These Icelanders play the hottest reggea grooves at the Cul de Sac at 23:30

FILM
Short Films – Framing The Other is a short documentary about tourism and its complex relationships with indigenous communities. The film will play @ Filmfoyer at 21:00

Dragonslayer Punkrock manifesto to youth love & learning to survive after decline of western civilization. Will play @ Filmfoyer at 22:15

ART
Leah Capaldi 
at Incubate, a male performer will perform Capaldi’s ‘7 hours, 7 days’; a weeklong performance in which 93 love songs are sung, on repeat. Everyday @ the Koepelhal from 02:00-21:00

Theater
If…then A performance by Andreas Bachmair and Johanna Biesewig about love, faith and the future. Hall of Fame @ 21:00
