[Incubated] New Incubated show announced: U.S. Girls + Slim Twig at 013 – December 4th

October 15, 2012

We are very pleased to present the renewed, second Incubated of this season. On Tuesday the 4th of December we have U.S. Girls and Slim Twig (photo) on stage at Stage01, 013 in Tilburg. Pre-sale will start this Saturday, the 20th of October. Tickets are €6,00 (excl. service fee) and available at the 013 Boxoffice, Free Record Shop, Sounds (Tilburg) and online via Ticketmaster.

U.S. Girls is the creative force of a lone American woman, Meghan Remy. Her dreamy indie lo-fi is like an excursion into a hazy alternate universe where pop vocals and muzzy scree fuse in harmony. In 2008, Meghan began recording her solo project at home, surrounding herself with a myriad of different instruments and equipment: microphones, a busted drum machine, a failing four-track, an old reel-to-reel player and other less-than-cutting-edge electronic devices.

Slim Twig is a man, not a band. His full-length debut, Contempt!, is a re-appropriation of sampling techniques gleaned from the RZA and Madlib, and presented in a un-Hip Hop-like format. 2012 sees the release of a wealth of new Slim Twig material: two full-length album releases with his band, as well as a 12”-split with Dirty Beaches, Ela Orleans, and U.S. Girls.

See you @ Incubated!
