And we’re back. After some time of absence Spotifriday is here again to serve you a selection of recent releases on Spotify.
U.S. Girls
We start of with U.S. Girls. Besides the fact that Meghan Remy and Slim Twig are coming to Tilburg on December 4th to play Incubated, this week also saw the release of Gem. This full lenght album features 10 tracks including the track below; Jack. We also posted a video U.S. Girls made for the track North on 45 a couple of days ago that you might want to check out to.
My Disco
Also on our Incubated bill, but on another date, we have My Disco. This trio from Melbourne, Australia is set to rock the Cul de Sac in Tilburg together with our Teutonic hero Rummelsnuff on October 27. Only last week My Disco they’ve released this track ‘Wrapped Coast‘:
Peter Broderick
Incubate alumni Peter Broderick released his latest album ‘These walls of Mine’ this week. You might know him from Incubate 2011 when he stayed at a farm writing music for two weeks or you might know him otherwise. Either way it’s worth listening to the opening track ‘Inside Out There‘ for it’s ‘fucking beautiful’
Matmos
Very Large Green Triangles, the opening track for Matmos‘s Ganzfeld EP is excellent and makes a very good promise for the upcoming album “The Marriage of True Minds” which, according to our music curator who had the chance to listen to the record allready, is really, really cool.
Mac Demarco
Released his first ‘proper full-length’, as label Captured tracks likes to put it, earlier this month. The track ‘Ode to Vicory‘ is one of the favorites here at the office and that’s why it’s the closing track on this edition of Spotifriday. We hope you have a good weekend. We know we will when we see Rummelsnuff and My Disco tomorrow here in Tilburg. Why not join us?
