Wildbirds & Peacedrums are a contemporary experimental two piece hailing from Sweden consisting of singer Mariam Wallentin and drummer Andreas Werliin. Their ‘instruments’ consist of her powerful vocals and his unorthodox percussion/drumming, resulting in a powerful, innovative sound. Their music is a hybrid of folk, blues and various other types of music.

On Wednesday October 13th, the Swedish duo will play at the Effenaar in Eindhoven. Inlog.org can give away 2×2 tickets for this concert!

Monolithic seek to push the boundaries of what is physically possible in rhythmic music today. Monolithic is total awareness and explosive energy throughout! Baritone guitarist Stian Westerhus also plays in Puma (also on ZXZW Tuesday 16 September), Bladed and Jaga Jazzist. Kenneth Kapstad is also the drummer in Motorpsycho and Animal Alpha.

Monolithic is part of the Norwegian Invasion and will play the 013 on Tuesday 16 September. Norwegian Invasion is a collaboration between ZXZW and our Norwegian counterparts of the independent music club Bla, in Oslo, and is supported by Bureau Cultuurmakelaar in Tilburg. The Batcave will host a whole week of cool Norwegian bands and acts including Shining, Svarte Greiner and Shari Vari.
