Our festival is drawing near! We’re almost ready and can’t wait to get the 7th edition of Incubate started. And if you feel the same way, we would like to invite you, and your friends who are equally as stoked, to our Incubate opening!

As we reported earlier this year, Ted Nugent cancelled his Kill It And Grill It BBQ at Incubate Festival. But that isn’t stopping us from having an awesome BBQ with a shitload of Vedett!

We’ll start it off with the ultimate opening speech for all audiences at all places by our alderman of culture Marjo Frenk (written by Christiaan Weijts and annotated by our local heroes Boef & De Gelogeerde Aap).
Furthermore, we’ll open our Open Source Expo. For the Open Source Expo we made a call for artists to send in work. Amateurs as well as professionals are enthusiastic to participate in this event. No committee, no exclusion of artists, no quality assessment, everything is permitted. You decide what you do or don’t like!
And we’ll kick off our anticipated Play Me, I’m Yours program by Luke Jeram, with 101 customized piano’s in and around Tilburg! Matthew Ship will play some  tunes in the city, as well as 50 kids from the Factorium Music School.

So feel free to join us on the 12th of September, 18:00 at the FAXX building (Dunantstraat 1) in Tilburg.

We have some bad news to tell. Ted Nugent has been following the announcement of our Incu Thursday yesterday very closely and feels like we’re taking the piss on him in the context of April fools. Of course we took this announcement very serious, yet Ted Nugent has decided to cancel this year’s Incubate festival as he’s taking his barbeque sessions very seriously and feels like this is making a fool out of him. He also didn’t like the links to his official site and social media we put on the Meat & Greet with Ted Nugent artist page on Incubate.org.
Incubate regrets the fact that we’ll have to cancel his appearance and we should have chosen a better date to announce this and talked this through with his management.

The good news is that the money of Ted Nugent’s fee will now be used to extend our program for Incubate 2011. We’ve already announced 20 names for the festival and will continue to do so every Thursday at 14:00 sharp. Expect some nice new additions to the line-up next week and so on of course!

Hi there! This is Incu Thursday. Every Thursday, 14:00h local time, we announce the musicians that were confirmed for the Incubate 2011 festival during the past week. Whether it’s one or twenty names, as long as we have things to confirm…

This week we announce the following name: Meat & Greet with Ted Nugent; Kill It and Grill It BBQ!

That’s right! Ted Nugent will be our main guest at Incubate 2011. The king of hard rock and BBQing for real men will kick off the festival. The book ‘Kill it and Grill it’ was released in 2002 and contains photo’s of some of Ted Nugent wildest wild animal shootings, which of course results in the most badass BBQ sessions the world has ever seen. After the succesful experience we had with animals with our guest Hermann Nitsch at Incubate 2009, it’s time for the next big step. APPLY NOW!

It is generally known Ted Nugent is a convinced carnivore and therefore he will kick off the festival on September 11th, also within the context of showing his American pride. Boerderij ‘t Schop have made the ultimate location possible, where attendees can gather their own food under the guidance of Ted Nugent followed by the barbeque where you can taste your fresh shot trophy. From tomorrow on you can apply for the Meat & Greet with Ted Nugent, including the hunting of the animals as well as the barbeque and you’ll receive a badass limited edition barbeque set.
