href="http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/adam-bainbridge" target="_blank">Kindness</a>, Adam Bainbridge, surprised us two years ago with a cover from <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/4WPY0N74T3KUja57xMQTZ3" target="_blank">The Replacements</a>&#8216; <a
href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEIrcMbcnVE" target="_blank">Swingin&#8217; Party</a>. Now Adam finally released a full debut album with swinging funky tunes, calling memories of the 80s. With a little help from <a
href="http://www.discogs.com/artist/Philippe+Zdar" target="_blank">Philippe Zdar</a>, one of the guys of <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/4sf3QZW8a3xZ14IGsOAzoy" target="_blank">Cassius</a> and producer of the last album from <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/5rL5RNBBsDgcwtQhprMmCb" target="_blank">The Rapture</a> and <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/6VDta3vxO3l3liDTqC121n" target="_blank">Phoenix</a>, bringing neo-disco as one the first ones out of London instead on NYC.<br
/> <em>Sounds like: Seventies funk, Prince, Hercules &amp; Love Affair</em></p><p><a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/2WAhVI2VJ8BXQSJhEow1BZ" target="_blank">Listen to Kindness &#8211; World, You Need A Change Of Mind here</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>THEESatisfaction - awE naturalE</strong></p><p><img
title="theesatisfaction-awe-naturale" src="http://inlog.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/theesatisfaction-awe-naturale1-590x590.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="590" /></p><p>One of the most remarkable albums of last year was <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/6xmJwIZr8GXrSTiYa9UYXG" target="_blank">Black Up</a> from <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/6C403AR4y6PjN0xNNGh42m" target="_blank">Shabazz Palaces</a>; Two hiphoppers who had a completely other approach on hiphop and mixed it with avant-garde and irregular beats. On their last song <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/track/5kC3aAeAh0RNAn7D6JMU94" target="_blank">Swerve&#8230;</a> the backing vocals were done by Stasia Irons &amp; Catherine Harris-White aka <a
href="http://www.theesatisfaction.com/" target="_blank">THEESatisfaction</a>. Now it&#8217;s the girls turn, with a little help from Shabazz Palaces (on the track <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/track/3SGNYD8z7KF6YTzd7U6PA1" target="_blank">Enchantruss</a>) and record label <a
href="http://www.subpop.com" target="_blank">Sub Pop</a> (who released Black Up, but of course also known from acts as <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/4EVpmkEwrLYEg6jIsiPMIb" target="_blank">Fleet Foxes</a> and <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/4LG4Bs1Gadht7TCrMytQUO" target="_blank">The Shins</a>). Where the guys of Shabazz Palaces took the hiphop into avant-garde, THEESatisfaction takes the (neo-)soul into avant-garde. Something it sounds a bit like the futuristic soul/r&#8217;n'b of <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/6ueGR6SWhUJfvEhqkvMsVs" target="_blank">Janelle Monae</a>, but most of the time it sounds.. something like you never heard before.<br
/> <em>Sounds like: Black Up meets The ArchAndroid</em></p><p><a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/4qO9YHNcQdwQbIVrcWtDTd" target="_blank">Listen to THEESatisfaction - awE naturalE here</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Mac DeMarco -  Rock &amp; Roll Night Club</strong></p><p><img
class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-34396" title="11183_JKT" src="http://inlog.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Mac-590x590.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="590" /></p><p>Our friends from <a
href="http://kickingthehabit.nl/" target="_blank">Kicking The Habit</a> already posted a couple of times about this man, <a
href="http://twitter.com/#!/Msldemarco" target="_blank">Mac DeMarco</a> and now, finally his debut album <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/1Sb6eVi5dTmr536YGvesH6" target="_blank">Rock &amp; Roll Night Club</a> is on Spotify. He sounds like a modern version of <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/42TFhl7WlMRXiNqzSrnzPL" target="_blank">Lou Reed</a> or <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/0oSGxfWSnnOXhD2fKuz2Gy" target="_blank">David Bowie</a> living in the 21st century. DeMarco combines the lo-fi sound with crooner vocals backed by cheap guitars. It&#8217;s weird to say, but the music is.. addicting.<br
/> <em>Sounds like: The son of Lou Reed and David Bowie.</em></p><p><a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/1Sb6eVi5dTmr536YGvesH6" target="_blank">Listen to Mac DeMarco -  Rock &amp; Roll Night Club here</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Breton &#8211; Other People&#8217;s Problems </strong></p><p><img
class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-34609" title="Breton" src="http://inlog.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Breton1-590x590.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="590" /></p><p>The art collective <a
href="http://www.facebook.com/bretonlabs" target="_blank">BretonLABS</a> is working in an old bank building in London. The guys are working on movies, documentaries and remixes. Now, they released under the name <a
href="http://www.bretonlabs.com/" target="_blank">Breton</a> a full album with the name Other People&#8217;s Problems. The band is mixing the <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/6FQqZYVfTNQ1pCqfkwVFEa" target="_blank">Foals</a>/<a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/3MM8mtgFzaEJsqbjZBSsHJ" target="_blank">Bloc Party</a> music with the industrial London sound. When the complete album was finished the band went to the studios of <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/6UUrUCIZtQeOf8tC0WuzRy" target="_blank">Sigur Rós</a> in Iceland just to get it some air. You&#8217;ll ear it in the recordings; the claustrophobic atmosphere is not complete gone, but it&#8217;s sounds.. more fresh.<br
/> <em>Sounds like: Delphic, Foals, Clock Opera</em></p><p><a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/1t6iuineN7rfOAoP04xhxz" target="_blank">Listen to Breton &#8211; Other People&#8217;s Problems here</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>s / s / s &#8211; Beak &amp; Claw</strong><img
class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-34626" title="sss-beakandclaw1" src="http://inlog.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/sss-beakandclaw11-590x590.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="590" /></p><p>Another EP this Spotifriday! And a special one, we can say. Beak &amp; Claw consists of 4 tracks created by three completely different artists; folky songwriter <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/4MXUO7sVCaFgFjoTI5ox5c" target="_blank">Sufjan Stevens</a>, rapper <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/5F3fDx84RYnmx0FGZeRtSF" target="_blank">Serengeti</a> and avantgarde beatmaker <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/artist/3kZdsaTYgaaolNxpnJ4iDe" target="_blank">Son Lux</a>. Stevens did already some weird stuff on his last album, <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/album/4ln0tQzp4XX6o2Z8XIlVDk" target="_blank">The Age of Adz</a>, but on this EP is taking this weirdness to another level. For instance on the openingstrack <a
href="http://open.spotify.com/track/7KCuF9UkbG3yaNZsQCNyLN" target="_blank">Museum Day</a>; an auto-tune intro/chorus by Stevens, and raps by Serengeti. Pretty weird, but pretty awesome as well.<br
/> <em>Sounds like: Actually what you think it is; Sufjan Stevens, Serengeti and Son Lux in a blender</em></p><p><a
