[Watch] Panel discussion: Whats an (artist) image worth?

Yesterday I saw this article passing by on Twitter and someone made a comment about it that it made him sad there is barely nothing said about music itself. Not listening to music, not thinking about music or other ways to stimulate actual songwriting, just how to put yourself as an artist in the market. And when I looked at The Daily Swarm today, this extremely interesting panel discussion came up about artists and their image. And this closely relates to the mentioned article, about how to create an image for yourself and put yourself on the map as an artist. Main question: what’s an image worth? And how important is an artist’s image and is there a way for an artist to settle yourself in the music business without having an image? Or is it even possible to nót have an image?

With four parts this may seem like a bit of a long ride, but it’s totally worth watching (or bookmarking!). Also because of the interesting people, who have worked for New York Times, XLR8R, Wire etc, joining the panel discussion:
