The ‘Godmother of Punk’ Patti Smith performed several times at the famous New York City club Max’s Kansas City. A club where musicians, poets, artists and politicians came together in the 1960s and 1970s. The glam rock scene found a home in the club and it housed a lot of stars like David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Alice Cooper. Bob Marley opened for Bruce Springsteen and it was the start of his international career.

The rare recordings and footage is from her concert in 1974, where she performed five songs! She even did a cover of ‘Paint it Black’ from The Rolling Stones. A part of history that is now available for everyone to relive.
